The Capitol will soon launch the ‘Sandugo Sa Bohol’ app through a partnership with Pedi, a Boholano-made mobile application that provides safe and convenient 24/7 transport services.

This is part of the provincial government’s efforts to solidify the celebration’s brand by strengthening its online and mobile presence through an integrated marketing experience.

The Sandugo App will serve as a “one-stop-shop” and a digital gateway to the province and the festival’s history, spirit, and scheduled events from June until August.

By installing the Pedi mobile app, users can browse the Sandugo section that will soon display integrated information on accommodations, restaurants, transportation, event schedules, reminders, and advisories, among other essential services.

In a statement relayed to the Provincial Information and Media Office, Regan Loberternos, Chief Executive Officer of Pedi App, considered the collaboration “more than just a business endeavor” but also a testament to their dedication “to supporting local communities and preserving cultural heritage.”

“By leveraging Pedi App’s expertise in app development, we’re able to streamline information dissemination and amplify the visibility of the events of the Sandugo festivities to attract more visitors and effectively promote tourism in our dear Province of Bohol,” Loberternos wrote emphasizing the company’s broader mission in driving positive change through technology.

“Through collaborative efforts with local stakeholders, we strive to create meaningful connections between technology, culture, and community,” Loberternos added.

From event schedules to interactive maps, the app provides the public with essential information at their fingertips, enhancing their overall festival experience.

The Sandugo sa Bohol this year will start from June until August, following the fiesta concepts of ‘bisperas’, ‘katumanan’, and ‘liwas’. This will be celebrated through different event streams, namely, Tabo (craftsmanship and skills), Bibo (festivals and pageantry), Tigi (sportsmanship), Tapok (reunions), Baras (heritage, tours, and hospitality), Atiman (care and sharing), and Bantawan (home).
