Six local colleges in Bohol became part of history when they competed in the inaugural intercollegiate league held on April 16-19.
The Association of Local Colleges and Universities (ALCU)-Region VII Bohol leg opened with a program at the Bohol Cultural Center on April 17.
Gov. Erico Aristotle Aumentado graced the historic occasion and congratulated the association for successfully holding the first edition of the said sports event.
“The provincial government places sports as a crucial part of its strategic change agenda towards achieving a smart, resilient, and inclusive province,” Aumentado said.
He added that events like this encourage young athletes to be at their best and promote the values of sportsmanship, teamwork, and camaraderie to everyone.
With the theme, “ALCU VII Advancing Physical Abilities and Social Cohesion through Sports,” the event was hosted by Tagbilaran City College (TCC) and joined by other local tertiary institutions across the province.
