Miss Bohol 2015 Eda Cimafranca passes away

Mary Eda Cimafranca, who represented Tagbilaran in the 2015 Miss Bohol pageant died on Friday, March 15. She was 25.

The news of Cimafranca’s death was confirmed by her sibling.

“With profound sadness, we announce the loss of our cherished Mary Eda Cimafranca. On March 15, 2024, she found solace in the comforting embrace of our almighty Father,” her sister, Miss Teen Tagbilaran 2012 and Miss Bohol International 2012 Ebone Cimafranca-Ong, announced on Facebook.

The cause of Eda’s death was not known.

“Eda’s presence brought light and warmth to all who knew her. Her artistic flair and musical talents left an everlasting impression on countless hearts, a testament to her boundless spirit,” Ebone said.

She continued, “While her physical presence may be gone, Eda’s legacy of love and creativity will live on forever in our hearts and memories.”

The family is asking for thoughts and prayers to help them navigate through our sorrow.

The unexpected passing of Eda has sent shockwaves through the community, leaving many grappling with grief and disbelief.

“You are one of the sweetest, beautiful, witty, humble ,genuine and down to earth Beauty Queen I’ve known here sa Bohol.
Small but terrible,” said talent manager Khim Magtagad.

“Her legacy as a beauty queen was not just about her external beauty, but also her inner beauty. She was a beacon of hope, kindness, and inspiration. She used her platform to spread positivity and make a difference in the world and in the community where she belongs, and for that, she will always be cherished,” said Miss Tagbilaran resident Judge Jeycelle Espejo Inting.
