Another centenarian from Bohol province received cash assistance from the provincial government on Tuesday, January 23.
Gov. Aris Aumentado handed over the P100,000 cash to Desideria Cuering, a resident of Barangay Sta. Cruz in Baclayon town.
The governor was accompanied by personnel of the Provincial Social Welfare and Development (OPSWD).
Aside from P100,000 cash, Cuering also recieves certificates from the Sangguniang Panlalawigan and Governor’s Office.
Last week, Aumentado also gave P100, 000 each to five centenarians.
The distribution of centenarian benefits is mandated under Provincial Ordinance 2022-003.
Filipino centenarians who live in the country or abroad are given a cash incentive of P100,000, as well as a letter of felicitation signed by the President of the Philippines, congratulating them on their longevity.
