A travel agency based in Amsterdam, The Netherlands has posted a prediction that Panglao in Bohol will be in the top 10 trending destinations for travellers in 2024.
Describing Panglao as a “a petite tropical gem”, Booking.com highlighted the beaches of Alona and Danao, as well as outdoor activities, island hopping tours and world-class diving spots.
The travel agency also cited Panglao island as the Philippines’ greenest destination, ideal for travelers looking for a laidback island life experience while keeping in mind environmental protection.
The list included Beppu in Japan, Valkenburg in the Netherlands, Vlorë in Albania, Chemnitz in Germany, Rotorua in New Zealand, Cairns in Australia, Buenos Aires in Argentina, Portland in the USA, and Mérida in Mexico.
The list of 10 under-the-radar locations worldwide was based on its rankings on a global study involving 27,000 travelers across 33 countries, the news article published on a global news outlet said.
Booking.com’s top trending destinations for 2024 data is based on the year-on-year growth rate of some of the most booked locations on its platform, the released article said.
