Several towns in Bohol province have suspended classes on Thursday afternoon, Nov. 16, due to continuous rains caused by the shear line.
In Tagbilaran city, Mayor Jane Yap said classes basic and secondary levels in public and private schools were suspended.
The local governments of Getafe, Duero, Balilihan, Corella, Sierra Bullones, Sikatuna, Sevilla, Dagohoy, Buenavista, Inabanga, Sagbayan, Loay, Alicia, Loboc, San Miguel, Dimiao, Lila, Alburquerque, Dauis, Garcia Hernandez, Candijay, and Talibon also ordered suspension of classes.
All the village officials and families near areas prone to floods and landslides were advised to prepare for possible evacuation.
