Anne Jakrajutatip, the owner of Miss Universe, said that Miss Universe will continue to operate amid financial problems of her company, JKN Global Group.

“Miss Universe Organization, which is only one of our many business lines, is completely clean and will continue to operate as planned. We look forward to three fantastic broadcasts next week,” she said in a Facebook post.

JKN Global Group acquired Miss Universe in 2022. The company also owns Miss USA and Miss Teen USA.

She added Miss Universe Organization remains her number one priority in her life.

“No matter how joyful or painful it’s gonna be… Our universe must go on, must be great and must stay on top as the legendary Beauty Olympics in the World! I will sacrifice and do everything for the great success of our universe!” she said.

The Miss Universe 2023 is set to be held in El Salvador on November 18. Reigning queen R’Bonney Gabriel will crown her successor at the José Adolfo Pineda Arena in San Salvador.

Bangkok Post reported that Jakrajutatip reportedly filed for debt rescue before Thailand’s Central Bankruptcy Court amid the fall in the company’s shares.

JKN Global Group petitioned for an extension of its debt repayment period and adjustments of interest rates.

“JKN Global Group has announced a plan to refinance our debt and rehabilitate our business. While our operating cash is intact and the company will continue to run operations as planned, this is a necessary step in our growth to ensure that our debt is repaid and the company remains financially healthy,” Jakrajutatip
said in a statement.

However, she clarified that her business is not bankrupt but on business rehabilitation.

” JKN aims to preserve the continuity and integrity of the businesses, allowing JKN to generate improved returns for creditors and investors through restructuring efforts. JKN is fully dedicated to this process and remains committed to emerging as a stronger company, with all debts repaid and a financially sound future ahead, ” she said on a separate statement.
