At least 241 more rice retailers in Central Visayas, including Bohol province, received P15,000 in cash assistance from the national government on Friday, September 22.
The cash aid distribution covered the provinces of Cebu with 60 beneficiaries, Bohol with 65 beneficiaries, Negros Oriental with 76 beneficiaries and Siquijor with 40 beneficiaries.
It was part of the Sustainable Livelihood Program (cash assistance for micro rice retailers) in support of the implementation of Executive Order No. 39.
These beneficiaries were profiled and validated by the DTI as eligible recipients of the cash assistance, as mandated by the Presidential directive relative to the implementation of EO 39.
During the first payout in the region last Sept. 14, six rice retailers in Bohol received the cash aid.
