Jagnaanons definitely have a lot to look forward to from the 12 finalists of Miss Jagna 2023.
The Top 12 finalists of the Miss Jagna 2023 displayed their wit, confidence, and sincerity as they shared their advocacies during the sashing ceremony and press conference held at Lenny’s Function Hall on Sunday, Sept. 3.
Bohol Island News was one of the media outlets invited by the organizer.
According Project Executive Director Melanie Precones, the sashing marks the formal ushering of the candidates into the Miss Jagna family.
“Home is where your heart belongs. Your Miss Jagna is a leader, an advocate and inspiration. She uplifts her community,” she said.
The finalists for Miss Jagna 2023 are Shien Erikha Bajao, Magella Averey Galagar, Leah Carmel Mendez, Zhanjie Chin Canada, Merife Gasing, Mia May Acebes, Mary Ariza Jane Balaba, France Nicole Jimenez, Shiela Christine Sedavia, Elah Merari Lagrido, Jessa Madera and Marion Vinalon.
Miss Jagna is the official search for Jagna’s Ambassadress of Goodwill and spokesperson.
The coronation night is set on Sept. 26, 2023 as one of the highlights of the town fiesta.
The sashing ceremony was attended by Vice Mayor Teofisto Pagar, barangay captains and councilors, and some department heads.
The Top 12 finalists will be made to undergo various workshops prior to the Miss Jagna 2023 coronation night, to prepare them for the responsibilities that would come with the title.
The last time Jagna held the pageant was in 2017.
Jagna has produced Miss Bohol titleholders: Tiffany Yap (1990), Racelle Adlaon (1991) ; Celevel Ranoco (1992), Fatima Liora Lloren Rana (2003) and Idy Caseñas Cagas (2012).
