A construction worker from Loboc town died after he was accidentally hit by an asphalt roller in Barangay Tinago in Dauis town on Thursday afternoon, Aug. 31.
According to the investigation by Dauis police, the driver admitted that he was not paying attention to his partner while operating the roller.
The driver said he noticed that someone passed by and there was a woman who shouted that there was someone behind the wheel.
Police said the victim died at the scene.
The incident has been determined to be an accidental death at the site, police added.
