Former Tagbilaran Vice Mayor Gloria Neri died on Friday, Sept. 1, her family and friends confirmed.
Her grandson, former Tagbilaran City Mayor Baba Yap, thanked her for the unconditional love.
“Rest in Peace sa akong Lola Mama Gloria Neri Lim. You will forever be loved and remembered. Thank you sa tanan imong gi buhat for me,” said Yap on a Facebook post.
Yap is the son of Lim’s only daughter.
Lim’s son, Dan Ismael Lim, became mayor of Tagbilaran City Mayor for three terms.
Former Tagbilaran City Councilor Agalon Polinar also expressed his sympathy.
“Rest In Peace, Former City ViceMayor +Gloria Neri Lim, Daghang salamat sa imong gugma ug serbisyo sa katawhang Tagbilaranon. Our prayers and Condolences Neri-Lim Family,” he said.
Lim became vice mayor in 1992-1995.
She was also a United States Congressional Gold Awardee.
