President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. on Tuesday (July 18, 2023) leads the kick-off activity of the Walang Gutom 2027: Food Stamp Program in Tondo, Manila.
Vice President Sara Z. Duterte and Social Welfare Sec. Rex Gatchalian are also present at the event.
“Masaya akong makasama kayo ngayon sa ating paglulunsad ng Food Stamp Program ng Department of Social Welfare and Development,” Marcos says.
“It is of course always the dream of government, and of any leader that we are able to do something about hunger around our country because that is the most important.
The problem of hunger and malnutrition still remains. And that’s why it has become a priority of this government. It is not enough that we just provide all kinds of food, but also it is of nutritional value.”(REY BANIQUET/NIB-PNA)
