Barangay Tiptip was the champion in this year’s Saulog Festival sreetdancing and ritual showdown on Sunday, April 30.
Barangay Tiptip for winning the coveted overall champion title received P250, 000 and a trophy.
The group also won the Best in Street Dancing, Best in Choreography, Best in Production Design, Best in Costume and Best in Field Performance, which entitles them to receive another P20, 000 worth of cash prize each award.
The event was graced by Sen. Mark Villar, chairman of the Senate trade committee.
The Saulog street dancing competition returned after three years of absence due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Mayor Jane Yap announced that the 2024 prize for champion will be P 1-million.
