Boholano artists – Sam Varquez and Marianne Amoy- collaborated to create their own version of the hit single “Love Me for What I Am” by The Carpenters.

They shared their cover performance on Youtube this July 15.

Marianne sang while Sam was on the guitar, beautifully harmonizing with the vocals.

Marianne ,who has been singing since she was a kid tried her luck in It’s Showtime’s Tawag ng Tanghalan on July 21, 2018 where she sang the hit “Love Me For What I Am”.

Sam, a former member of the Loboc Children’s Choir, is a member of the Cruisers, another well-known band from the music town of Loboc.

Sam is considered as among the best young guitarists in the country today. Local music observers dubbed him as the Steve Vai and Joe Satriani of his generation.
