Farmers of Clarin received P6,250,000 million-worth irrigation rehabilitation from National Irrigation Administration for Cabog Communal Irrigation System on February 16 Cabog IA Bunkhouse, Clarin, Bohol.

This project benefits 23 farmer-members of Cabog Methodical Irrigators Association Inc. who have a total of 25 hectares of farmland.

During the Inauguration and Turnover ceremony, Cabog Methodical IA President Reynante Lauro expressed his gratitude for NIA.

“Mapasalamaton kaayo mi sa NIA nga kami nahatagan og dugang pundo para sa pag-ayo sa among irigasyon ug nadugangang pa ang among konkretong kanal patubig. (We are so thankful to NIA for setting budget for the repair of our irrigation system and for giving us additional conrete irrigation canals), ” Lauro said.

Lauro also gave NIA assurance that this irrigation project will be well-maintained

“Ako, ug ang akong mga kaubang myembro sa IA, nagapasalig nga kini among ampingan arun mulungtad ang maong proyekto nga gihatag sa NIA,” he added.

The works undertaken in this P6.2M project include a Dam, 10 turn-out gates, 14 thresher crossings, two 70-meter cut & covers, three 120-meter rubble protections, an IA bunkhouse, and 1,451 meters concrete line canals.

Clarin Municipal Mayor Eugeniano Ibarra, who also graced the event, pronounce his support for farmer productivity.

“Thank you, NIA! We are committed to supporting and helping the farmers so that the farmers can increase their yield,” Ibarra said.

Cabog Methodical IA members, Brgy. Captain Rosalino S. Polinar Jr., CIS Project-In-Charge Bienvenido T. Seroje, IDS Chief Joy Mendoza, and Institutional Development Officer Janice A. LogroƱo also played an important part in the success of the project turnover and inauguration.
