The provincial government of Bohol received P100 million from the Office of the President as financial assistance to four towns in Bohol which were heavily affected by Super Typhoon Odette in the province.
The P100 million budget was sourced from the funds of the Office of the President under the Socio-Civic Projects Fund (SCPF).
A P25 million financial cash assistance will be given each to the municipalities of Loboc, Talibon, Pres. Carlos P. Garcia and Ubay.
The Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with the Office of the President, which is a prelude for the downloading of the funds, was held Thursday, Feb. 2.
It was attended by Bohol Governor Aris Aumentado, Vice Governor Victor Balite, provincial administrator Aster Caberte, and mayors Janet Garcia (Talibon), Fernando Estavilla (Pres. Carlos P. Garcia),
Raymond Jala (Loboc) and Constantino Reyes (Ubay).
The financial grant shall be utilized to provide housing projects in Loboc and Talibon towns and evacuation centers in Pres. Carlos P. Garcia and Ubay towns.
Gov. Aris Aumentado said he was thankful to the Office of the President for the financial assistance granted to Bohol.
“Mapasalamaton kita sa ayuda gikan sa kagamhanang Nasyonal, sa suporta sa Provincial Shelter Cluster Core Team ug sa tanang nagbudlay ani kay tungod sa pagtinabangay nahimong reyalidad ang atong gihandum nga tabang. Ang kanhi administrasyon kabahin usab niini, ” Aumentado said.
