A passenger bus fell on its side while navigating the road in Barangay Jimilian in Loboc town on Thursday morning, May 26, 2022.
Loboc police station chief Lt. Camilo Estrera Jr said at least 17 passengers sustained injuries.
They all received medical treatment, he said.
The accident happened around 10:45 a.m. The Southern Star bus owned by
Yanson Group of Bus Companies was bound for Ubay from Tagbilaran City.
Bus driver Nick Lubiano, 44, of Lila town said he lost control of the bus while traveling along the highway in Barangay Jimilian.
Lubiano was placed under the custody of the Loboc police station while investigation was ongoing. With a report from Helen Castano
