The Loboc government on Thursday, Jan. 12, raised critical level over the Loboc River amid heavy rains caused by low pressure area and shear line.
As of 2 a.m., the Municipality of Loboc said the water level at Loboc River went the critical level or at least 100 meters above sea level calls for “forced evacuation.”
Mayor Raymond Jala in his Facebook post post said that some residents were evacuated in Barangay Valladolid which is near the river bank.
Bohol has been placed under Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal (TCWS) No. 1 as Tropical Storm Basyang (international name: Penha) intensified while moving westward over the Philippine Sea, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) reported late Wednesday night.
A fisherman from Bohol, who was reported missing on Saturday, was found alive on Sunday night in Sogod, Cebu.
The country will have generally fair Sunday weather, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said.
