Police seized 10 grams of crystal methamphetamine or “shabu” worth P69,000 in a buy-bust operation in Loon town on Saturday night, Dec. 17, 2022.

Lt. Amelito Melloria, chief of Loon Police Station, identified the suspect as Bryan Adaptar, 35, a resident of Barangay Poblacion Ubos in Loay town, Bohol.

According to Melloria, the suspect was arrested at around 11 p.m. at Barangay Calayugan Norte in Loon by the operatives of Loon Municipal Drug Enforcement Team under his leadership together with the intelligence personnel from 702nd Maneuver Company, Regional Mobile Force Battalion 7.

Seized from the suspect were sachets of suspected shabu with an estimated weight of 10 grams worth P68,800.00, cellphone, and the buy-bust money.

The suspect was detained at the Loon Municipal Police Station Custodial Facility while preparing the case of Violation of Section 5 and 11, Article II of the RA 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

Melloria said Loon Municipal Police Station will continue to intensify the campaign against illegal drugs to attain and maintain a safe, peaceful and progressive town.

“Ug sa kanunay, walay lugar ang mga durugista diri sa pinangga tang Lungsod sa Loon nga malinawon,” said Melloria.
