The city government of Tagbilaran suspended classes on Friday afternoon, Dec. 9, due to continuous rains brought by a low-pressure area (LPA) and the shear line, or the tail end of a cold front.
Mayor Jane Yap said she suspended all classes at all levels in public and private schools in anticipation of risks posed by the incessant rains.
“As recommended by the Tagbilaran CDRRMO, classes in all elementary and secondary levels are suspended starting 12 noon today. This is due to the orange rainfall being experienced in the city. Keep safe everyone,” she posted on Facebook.
Earlier, the local government of Candijay suspended classes at all levels.
