“This is truly a very happy occasion, as we are gathered this afternoon for our City Government Christmas Lighting ceremony. Indeed, there is no season or occasion as special as Christmas in most parts of the world,” she said.
The event, which centered on” bitoon”(stars) as stars of hope began with Christmas songs performed by HNU Chorale, Tagbilaran City Choir and Koro Seraphim Chorale.
Former Mayor Baba Yap, Vice-Mayor Adam Jala, members of the city council, and the different department heads were also present at the event.

Aside from the Christmas tree, the musical dancing fountain was also lit up. Tagbilaranons were treated to a dancing fountain. The water embedded in color-changing lights dancing to Christmas melodies wowed spectators of all ages.
