A village councilor of Barangay Madua Norte in Duero town was arrested during a buy-bust operation on Thursday afternoon, Nov. 17.
Police identified the suspect as Leandro Bernil Peligro, 40, a resident of Purok 3, Madua Norte and serves as barangay kagawad.
Police said Peligro is a high-value target.
Operatives seized from the suspect small sachets of suspected shabu, weighing 0.80 gram and with an estimated SDP value of Php 5,440.
The suspect will be charged with violation of RA 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
