When rains, it pours, as the saying goes.
Megaworld Corporation showed interest to do business in the Bohol, Gov. Aris Aumentado said in his Facebook post.
This came as several other business ventures have already professed to do the same.
“Megaworld Corp. alang sa mega-trabaho,” Aumentado said.
(Megaworld Developers met with us and showed interest in investing in townships in the province. This is a big job opportunity for our fellow Boholanos).
“Megaworld Corporation is a real-estate company in the Philippines. It is listed on the Philippine Stock Exchange Composite Index. The company develops large-scale, mixed-use, planned communities incorporating residential, commercial, educational, and leisure components,” Wikipedia said.
In terms of shopping centers, SM group of companies has reportedly acquired a substantial area in the city, not far from the city hall, to build a shopping mall.
Lately, the governor said that “Puregold is here” and said he welcomed it.
This after he met with top officers of the company during their courtesy visit at his office recently.
(We are happy that Puregold informed us they’re looking for space for properties in several towns for their planned construction of their store).
Earlier on, Ubay town Mayor Costan Reyes confirmed that Puregold is set to build a grocery-like store first in this town.
“Puregold Price Club, Inc. or simply Puregold is a chain of supermarkets in the Philippines trading goods such as consumer products on a wholesale and retail basis. It currently has approximately 280 operating stores and over 20 food service stalls, says Wikipedia. (rvo)
