A drug den was dismantled and three individuals were arrested during an anti-illegal drug operation in Panglao town on Thursday night, September 22, 2022.

According to Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) -Central Visayas, arrested was the subject of the operation and drug den maintainer identified as Herminiano Salan Jr., 20, jobless.

Also nabbed were two drug den visitors identified as John David Ysalena, 32, and Mark Gabica Goudin, 36, both habal-habal drivers.

Seized during the operation were nine packs of suspected shabu weighing around 11 grams with an estimated market value of P74,800, buy-bust money, various drug paraphernalia, and cash amounting to P250 believed to be proceeds from illegal drugs.

PDEA said Salan could dispose 40 to 50 grams per week of shabu.

Cases for violation of Sections 5, 6, 7, 11, 12, and 15, Article II of RA 9165 will be filed against the suspects.

Dismantling of drug den is considered a high-impact operation as drug dens are breeding ground for violence and criminality and disrupt peace and order in the community.
