Bohol Balita Daily News (BBDN), the only daily newspaper in vernacular in Bohol province, has launched its new website (www.boholbalita.com), which can also be accessed on mobile devices.
The new website, launched on Sunday, Sept. 18, will provide daily breaking news and current headlines on Bohol on a daily basis. The new site boasts a reader-friendly interface.
BBDN publisher-editor Jhonny Orioque said he approved the new website to adopt the digital age and stay ahead of the competition.
BBDN began its venture into the digital realm decades ago, but it stopped due to
resources as it is still clinging to traditional print reportage.
Orioque hoped BBDN’s digital platform will soon be at par with international news organizations.
He vowed that BBDN will still be anchored on its legacy of journalistic independence and excellence and a purveyor of truth.
The event was attended by veteran journalists- Romy Teruel, Ric Obedencio, Rey Anthony Chiu and Leo Udtohan.
Chinky Fuentes is the website manager.
Founded in 2009, BBDN is the fastest selling newspaper in Bohol. It’s sister publications are Bohol News Today and Bohol Sunday News.
