Incoming Bohol Governor Aris Aumentado
administered the oath of office to reelected Jagna Mayor Joseph Rañola, while elected Vice Mayor Teofisto Pagar Jr and four elected councilors took their oaths to reelected 3rd district Rep. Alexie Besas-Tutor in a ceremony at Jagna Gymnasium on Sunday afternoon, June 26.
This is Rañola’s second consecutive term as mayor of Jagna town.
In his speech, Rañola said he is open to being chosen as president of the League of Municipalities of the Philippines (LMP) Bohol Chapter.
He is one of those rooted to replace Dauis Mayor Marietta Sumaylo to lead the organization. However, he decided to cancel his dream in order for him to focus on the development and progress of Jagna.
Tutor also administered the oaths of
councilors Wilvinz Ranis Viñalon, Lito Galos, Noel Acedillo and Digoy Lloren.
“I pray for Jagnaanon leaders to unite not for themselves but for the sake of all Jagnaanons. The people have spoken & the leaders are now ready to take the reins. Set aside political colors. We need leaders who can walk their talk & not the other way around. Show Jagna that you truly deserve to be elected, ” said Tutor.
“What has been said during the campaign cannot be undone but let it not be a hindrance nor make it an excuse to justify division among leaders. For all the developments to come, I will be supporting the leadership,” she added.
