A priest sustained minor injuries after his vehicle collided with a Southern Star bus in Maribojoc town in Bohol on Sunday, May 29.
According to Maribojoc Police Station, the incident happened at past 2 p.m.
While on his way to Tagbilaran, the priest identified as Fr. Jose Guivencan was on his way to Tagbilaran City. While traversing the highway in Barangay Lincod, Maribojoc, the wheels of his vehicle exploded. He lost control of his vehicle that hit the driver’s side of a Southern Star bus from the opposite lane.
Perfecto Hinaniban Jr, the bus driver, attempted to avoid the incoming car. However, he also lost control of the bus that collided with the vehicle. It subsequently damaged a sari-sari store, a parked motorycle and a portion of a house.
Police said there was no fatality.
