A crowd of 30,000 attended the Sara All/Uniteam Bohol Supporters Rally in Ubay town on Tuesday night (May 3).
The event was organized by the group of
gubernatorial candidate Rep. Erico Aristotle Aumentado.
As early as 5 p. m., some 5,000 people were already assembled at Ubay Sports Complex where the huge stage was located for the concert of several artists and bands.
Couple Joshua Zamora and Jopay Paguia performed during the event along with
Brownbuds, Izlaragga, Xanu Angels, Xanu Boys and Joseph Gara.
Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte was not able to attend the event. However, in a video message, she thanked the people for support.
Ubay police said at 9 p. m. crowd ballooned to 20,000 and peaked at 30,000 when Aumentado was already on the stage giving his speech.
Aumentado admitted that he has been overwhelmed by the kind of support given him by people from all walks of life.
“This is encouraging because you come here to show your support,” he said.
Also present were vice gubernatorial aspirant Victor Balite, 2nd district Congressional aspirant Vanessa Aumentado, and lawyers Tommy Abapo and Jamie Villamor and Dr. Vicente Entero.
Aumentado also proclaimed the slate of reelectionist Ubay Mayor Constantino Reyes and Victor Bonghanoy.
