Taylor Hawkins, drummer and key member of the Foo Fighters, died yesterday, March 25, 2022. He was 50.

According to a Rolling Stone news report, Hawkins and the rest of the Foo Fighters were currently on tour in Colombia in South America when Hawkins passed away.

The official cause of death is currently unavailable, but news reports from Colombia mentioned that he was found dead in his hotel room.

The Foo Fighters family expressed how devastated they are by the tragic and untimely loss of their beloved Taylor Hawkins.

“His musical spirit and infectious laughter will live on with all of us forever,” the band said.

The singer-drummer-songwriter recently released an album under his other music project Taylor Hawkins and the Coattail Riders.

Hawkins was born February 17, 1972. He is survived by his wife and three children.
