Intending to develop the lives and livelihood of those living in Barangays Liloan Norte and Liloan Sur in Sagbayan, Bohol, a recently-completed farm-to-market road (FMR) was turned over to the community last March 21, 2022, at a simple program held at Barangay Liloan Norte.

The road, which is 1.060 kilometers long and costs P12,500,000, was built with funds from the Department of Agriculture (through the General Appropriations Act FY 2021) and implemented by the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH). It is intended to provide the community living in the said barangays easier and faster access, especially in transporting their goods and agricultural products to the market.

Rep. Erico Aristotle “Aris” Aumentado of the second district of Bohol, who was the guest speaker at the turn-over ceremony, expressed his appreciation to the national government agencies (DA and DPWH) and to everyone who helped make the project possible, saying that this would help raise the living standards of those living in Liloan Norte and Liloan Sur.

Officials from the DPWH, Barangays Liloan Norte and Liloan Sur, and the Municipality of Sagbayan were also present in the said activity. (PR/jja)
