Unrestricted travel to Bohol by vaccinated individuals who are fully protected against coronavirus disease (Covid-19) continues until February 15, a recent Executive Order issued by the governor ruled.

In Executive Order No 7 series of 2022, Bohol governor Arthur Yap effectively extended the efficacy of a previous order under Executive Order No. 4, series of 2022.

The latter executive order ordered the implementation of the Inter Agency task Force on the management of Emerging Infectious Diseases Resolution No. 157-A series of 2022 which placed Bohol under Alert Level 3, due to a perceived surge in Covid-19 cases anew.

While the earlier executive order mandated the implementation of the IATF resolution in Bohol from January 1-30, this new executive order orders the extension of the implementation of Alert Level 3 and its protocols from February 1 to February 15, 2022.

As this transpires, inter and intra zonal movement of people, remains unhampered for fully vaccinated individuals who can show to authorities at the borders their vaccination cards of vaccination certificates.

For the partially vaccinated and the unvaccinated travelers, they still can come to Bohol however, provided they can present a negative for Covid-19 result in an assay by Reverse Transcription Polymerase Chain Reaction (RT-PCR) taken 72 hours before boarding the vessel to Bohol.

As such, the provision for minors 11 years old and below who are exempted from the RT-PCR if they are traveling with fully vaccinated parents or guardians also remains in effect especially when the requirement for the s-pass remains suspended and is no longer required for entry to Bohol.

The Executive Order No. 7 which the governor signed January 31 and which took effect February 1, also adopted and implemented the adjusted entry, testing and quarantine protocols for international arriving Filipinos and foreign nationals. (rahc/PIA-7/Bohol)
