Authorities arrested three suspects who are among the most wanted persons in separate operations in Bohol, the Philippine National Police (PNP) said.
In President Carlos P. Garcia, police arrested Junifie Veloso Dagale, a national most wanted at Purok 5, Barangay Aguining on September 17.
Dagale was seized under a warrant of arrest for murder issued by Presiding Judge Virginia Tehano-Ang, RTC Branch 1, Tagum City, Davao Del Norte.
Meanwhile, the top 3 Most Wanted of Agusan Del Sur, PRO13 was arrested in San Isidro town on Thursday afternoon, October 6.
Suspect for murder identified as Ricar Gumeloy Okit, 25, was arrested in Barangay Caimbang, San Isidro under a warrant of arrest issued by Presiding Judge Cesat Bordalba of Regional Trial Court Branch 34, Cabadbaran City, Agusan Del Sur.
Okit was listed No. 6 Most Wanted in Manhunt Charlie Provincial level and Number 3 Most Wanted, Enhanced Managing Police Operations (EMPO) Provincial Level of Agusan del Sur Police Provincial Office, PRO13.
In a separate operation, Tagbilaran City Police Station arrested Teodoro Tapa at Purok 3-A in BarangayTiptip, Tagbilaran City under warrant of arrest for violation of section 11 of R.A. 9165 issued by Presiding Judge Sisinio Virtudazo of RTC Branch 4 Tagbilaran City on October 6, 2020.
Moreover, Bohol Police Provincial Office confiscated 63 loose firearms and arrested 50 persons from September 1 to October 6, 2020.
Tagbilaran City Police Station has the most number of firearms confiscated for the period.
Police Brigadier General Albert Ignatius Ferro, Police Regional Office 7 Regional Director, commended the men and women of Bohol PPO for a job well done.
“Your PRO7 Amigo Cops will remain on guard and continue serving and protecting Central Visayas amid the coronavirus disease. As we move forward, let us work together in collective action with the support of our local government officials and stakeholders,” said Ferro during a press conference in Tagbilaran.
