A commemorative stamp from the Philippine Postal Corporation (Philpost) will mark the 75th Anniversary and 51st Charter Day University of Bohol on Friday, Dec. 10.

The design carries the slogan “Transforming Lives for a Great Future.”

UB was honored with a commemorative stamp by the Philpost, the first University to have a commemorative stamp and the first institution in Bohol.

In a historic ceremony, Benito P. Quiros, Philpost Department Manager, and Dr. Victoriano B. Tirol, III, UB President, unveiled the stamp souvenir frame and jointly signed the official first day cover.

Witnessing the event were lawyer Marlumina Teh, UB VP for Academics. Ria Eva Sevilla, UB VP for Administration, and Dr. Maricel Tirol, VP for Finance. Also, in attendance were officials from PHLpost Jocelyn Agravante – Chief, Finance and Administrative Division, Rachel Betos – Marketing Specialist, Zara Mae Sarahina – Marketing Assistant, Judith Relampagos – Cluster Supervisor, Vivian Paglinawan – Postmaster, Tagbilaran City Post Office, and Velly Paglinawan.

Stamps are available at P12 at the Post shop in Manila and other post offices nationwide.

UB was founded on Dec. 10, 1946.
