Effective local leaders make sure day-to-day services are running smoothly, but they also need to have the ability to rally and empower their communities in difficult times.

Businessman Manuel Elizalde “Eyas” Clavite of Carmen town vows to improve tourism and agriculture if he is elected as the town’s next mayor.

Under his slogan guide “Carmen Ampingan Ko, Palamboon Ko” he seeks to serve the people.

Clavite shares he was as a working student of former mayor Alfredo Galang when he was in high school and college.

Hard work helps him build discipline.

“What’s more, the harder you work on your dream, the more confident you become,” he says.

Clavite said he has high vision for the development of the town and he can share his limited resources.

One of them, is to provide free “anapog” for the uneven road in barangay La Paz, even though it has been reprimanded by the current administration.

He wants to continue the infrastructure projects started by Bohol 3rd district Rep. Alexie Tutor, such as the covered court that previous administrations failed to do by pouring in considerable funds for its completion.

He says he wants to further develop infrastructure, tourism and agriculture so that it can provide employment and more income to the people of Carmen.
