Maria Vannessa Cadorna-Aumentado has filed her certificate of candidacy (COC) for Bohol 2nd district congressional post on Thursday, October 7.
Aumentado is the wife of outgoing Rep. Erico Aristotle Aumentado, who is reportedly running for governor.
Aumentado arrived at 2 p.m. at Commission on Elections (Comelec) along with lawyers Jiselle Rae Aumentado Villamor, lawyer Tomas Abapo Jr and Dr. Vincent Entero who also filed their COC for board members in the second district.
Aumentado is running under the People’s Reform Party (PRP).
She said she intends to continue her husband’s public service. She wants to expand more opportunities and promote sustainable development in the second district.
“I am for the continuity of what has been started by my husband. Kahibaw ta giunsa niya pagpangga ug pag-alagad ang segundo distrito. Ang iyang mga maayong programa mao na atong ipadayun,” she told Bohol Island News.
“I also offer the kind of restless and unceasing service that my husband Aris has given for the second district of Bohol over the past nine years,” she added.
Vanessa, a registered nurse, is Miss Bohol Sandugo 2001.
Atty. Tomas Abapo Jr, Atty. Jiselle Rae Aumentado Villamor and Dr. Vincent Entero who also filed their COC for board members in the second district.
