The campus of Dr. Cecilio Putong National High School (DCPNHS) in Tagbilaran City, Bohol has been placed on lockdown for one week now after coronavirus 2019 infected 14 teachers.

Maurine Castaño, principal of DCPNHS, said 14 teachers tested positive for Covid-19.

All are Grade 7 teachers.

She said that of the 14, 10 are from Tagbilaran City including the one who first tested positive, while the rest are from various towns.

All of them were placed on isolation facilities except for the first patient who was admitted in a private hospital.

Castaño clarified that the first patient and the 13 teachers were in the same airconditioned faculty room during an off-time distribution of modules.

The first patient didn’t also attend the Learning Action Cell (LAC) session in school.

DCPNHS, the most populated school in Bohol, has at least 7,399 students.

Distribution of modules was also suspended for the safety of everyone.

Castaño said the school operation will resume once they obtain clearance from the Tagbilaran City Inter-Agency Task Force.
