Three days after the Miss Universe 2021 pageant held in Panglao, Bohol, Beatrice Luigi Gomez took to social media to share her personal journey.

In a social media post on Sunday, October 3, Gomez said she fells very blessed to have won the most coveted crown in the country.

“BREAKING BARRIERS… No words can describe the pride and honor that I’ve been blessed with, from being a delegate tasked to represent my home, Cebu City, to being an ambassador and servant leader of my beloved country, Philippines,” Gomez started her lenghty post.

“I am indebted to the people who rallied with me in my causes and in my journey to represent my community and to shed light in the diversity of women,” she said.

She also thanked her management, team members, family, friends, the Naval Reserve Center of Eastern Visayas and the 82nd Marine Battalion Reserve and of course her girlfriend, Kate Jagdon.

” Thank you to the people who never doubted my potential and saw the value of what I’m capable of, my family Mama Ping Gallarde Gomez, Louise Angelica Gomez, Kate Jagdon, my BEAbies, Origin Model & Artist Management, Mommy Furne Amato, my AP Sven Chua, my Binibining CEBU family, SHS-B Batch 1985 Foundation, the Local Government of Cebu City, Councilor Dondon Hontiveros, and the Rotary Club of Metro Mandaue 2006 and Rotaract Club of Metro Mandaue 2006.

“I am grateful as well to the entire Naval Reserve Center Eastern Visayas and the 82nd Marine Battalion Reserve for giving me the platform to fulfill my passion for community development and service and for sharing with me the values and discipline of the Armed Forces.

“Thank you to my Aces & Queens family for giving me a home when I needed one and for nurturing me during my preparations.

” I am most grateful to the entire Miss Universe Philippines organization headed by Miss Shamcey Supsup, Mama Jonas A. Gaffud, Sir Voltaire Tayag, and the rest of the handlers and crew for taking care of us in the most challenging weeks that we’ve been through. I am as well grateful to the Local Government of Clark, Hilton Clark Sun Valley Resort, Province of Bohol, Governor Art Yap, and Henann Resort Alona Beach, Bohol for allowing us to stage this prestigious celebration and for ensuring our safety for the entire duration of the competition. Through the effort, patience, and discipline of everyone involved we were able to surpass every obstacle there was to continue the yearly tradition of celebrating the strength of every phenomenal woman in our country.

“Lastly, all the praise to my Creator for showing me the path I’m meant to take despite my doubts and fears HE made His way for me to trust myself and to trust in His plans for His greater glory.
