But before she went to the municipal Commission on Elections (COMELEC) office, she visited first her father’s tomb.

There, Digal-Asoy asked her father- the late Sevilla Mayor Ceferino Digal- for blessing and guidance.

“I am always a daddy’s girl. And my father is my inspiration to serve the people,” said Digal-Asoy.

The daughter of former mayors Ceferino and Ernesita Digal filed her COC at Sevilla Comelec office together with her team- last termer councilor Marcelina Ayco who is running for mayor, outgoing councilor Roland Pacatang for vice mayor, and aspiring councilors Eloy Item, Dewo Anino, Romeo Llanto, Benjie Ejoc, Inday Hermi Ticon, Carol Fernandez and Ado Merincillo.
