Former Alburquerque Mayor Elpren Charles “Bobic” Tungol took his oath as a new member of the Sangguniang Bayan (Municipal Council) before Governor Art Yap on Monday.
Tungol replaced Jessica Doria who resigned.
Doria is the daughter of the late former Vice Mayor Cayetano Doria Jr.
Vice Governor Rene Relampagos and family friends witnessed the oath-taking ceremony held at the Governor’s Office.
President Rodrigo Roa Duterte is set to arrive this afternoon at the Cebu City Sports Center (CCSC) to attend the Sinulog festivities.
At least six suspected members of the New People’ Army (NPA) were killed in a series of encounter in barangay Campagao, Bilar town in Bohol province on Thursday, Sept. 7.
