Philippine National Police Chief General Guillermo Eleazar on Monday awarded the “Medalya ng Kagalingan” to two policemen for their accomplishments in the campaign against drugs and other lawless elements in the province.
The awardees of the “Medalya ng Kagalingan (PNP Merit Medal)” are Major John Kareen Escober and Lt. Jose Leander Velasquez.
Escober was awarded Merit Medal for his operational accomplishment that led to the arrest of an terrorist member, Alfio Sarsale, who used a firearm to threaten his neighbors in Barangay Rizal in Batuan town.
Velasquez led the successful buy-bust operation in Barangay Salvador in Cortes town that resulted to the arrest of Maricel Aparre who had P692,000 worth of shabu last May 13, 2021.
