Tagbilaran vaccination for senior citizens starts

Tagbilaran City has been encouraging senior citizens to get their Covid-19 vaccine as an added protection against the adverse effects of Covid-19.

The Tagbilaran city government started vaccinating senior citizens against Covid-19, especially those with comorbidities.

Vaccination sites were set up in Bool Elem. School, Tagbilaran City Central School, Dao Elementary School, Booy Covered Court and Tagbilaran City College to make the process more convenient for the elderly.

The local government targets to inoculate a total of 10,000 senior citizens in Tagbilaran.

One of the first to line up for the vaccine at Tagbilaran City Central Elem. School was 65-year-old Nanay Panfila Cinco.

Tagbilaran City has been encouraging senior citizens to get their Covid-19 vaccine as an added protection against the adverse effects of Covid-19.

Asked if she felt any side effects after getting vaccinated, she replied, “Wala man koy gibati. Ok ra man ko. ”

She said she wanted to get vaccinated to protect her life and family.

She thanked City Government of Tagbilaran headed by Mayor Baba Yap for prioritizing senior citizens in the inoculation program.

Meanwhile, Yap urged seniors citizens to go to the vaccination stations in the city.

The vaccination will run until June 21 (Monday).
