State weather bureau Pagasa on Tuesday afternoon, June 1, raised the red warning level over Bohol amid the onslaught of Typhoon Dante.

In its 4 p.m. advisory, Pagasa said the red warning level means to take action, as torrential rainfall (more than 30 millimeters per hour) has fallen or is expected to fall.

Severe flooding is expected in these areas, it said.

Bohol was placed on storm signal no. 1.
