A security guard was nabbed and P108,000 worth of shabu was seized after the Tagbilaran City Police Station (TCPS) conducted a buy-bust operation Monday afternoon.

The suspect was identified as Mark Anthony Dalapo Pilayre, 30, a resident of Purok 2, Barangay Dampas, Tagbilaran City.

Based on the police report, the buy-bust operation was led by City Drug Enforcement Unit led by Lt. Augusto Cesar Sumaylo under the supervision of Lt. Col. Mary Crystal Peralta, chief of TCPS, in coordination with PDEA-7 at around 2:40 p.m.

An undercover police officer acted as a poseur buyer and bought shabu which then led to the arrest of the suspect.

Retrieved from them were 16 grams of shabu valued at P108,000.

Police said Pilayre, a street-level individual, was a SAP beneficiary.

Peralta applauded the operatives and th3 concerned citizens in the area who helped and supported TCPS in the success of the operation.

“We will do our best to serve and protect you at all cost,” said Peralta.

Pilayre will be charged with violations of R.A. 9165 or The Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2012.
