On Tuesday, Tutor personally visited Estrella’s mother, Pacita Bersamen, in her residence in Barangay Tugas to personally condole with the family.

“Covid-19 has claimed so many lives most of that are our modern day heroes, the medical frontliners. Throughout the world we Filipinos have shown how a Filipino works tirelessly amidst the imminent danger with compassion & dedication regardless of race & nationality, a Filipino’s TLC is beyond comparable. It is limitless,” Tutor said in a statement.

Tutor narrated that her mother-in-law, Azucena Tutor, remembered Estrella as a bright student in her elementary years at Tugas Elementary School in Candijay town.

May this reminds us all that life is precious. No one knows if we are among the “next in line” in this most uncertain of times. Thus, Forgive. Do good. Make an extra mile for someone in need. Smile. Laugh. Enjoy life. Give a heart not heartaches.

The family of Estrella last visit to her hometown was 2018.

She described Estrella a proud Candijaynon and a modern- day hero.

“In that row of fallen heroes, a Candijaynon is among them. A life lost yet not lost in vain for it was with a higher purpose. People who came to know Estrella will always be proud of who she was & how she made them feel,” Tutor said.
