Tagbilaran City has 112 active cases of the coronavirus disease (Covid-19), its highest tally since the pandemic began in 2020.

In a Facebook post, Mayor Baba Yap said there were 9 new cases reported on Tuesday (April 13) and 40 cases on Monday (April 12).

He said most of the new cases involved residents, city hall workers and police officers.

Yap said there were 13 police officers from the Tagbilaran City Police Station, 12 health workers, 14 personnel from City Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office (CDRRMO), 6 outgoing persons, 8 influenza like illness (ILI), and 50 residents who were included in the contact tracing were infected of Covid-19.

Yap asked residents to follow health protocols.

As of April 13, the city had recorded a total of 355 cases since 2020 with 112 of these active, 241 recovered and 2 fatalities.
