A 22-year-old man was killed on Wednesday afternoon when a motorcycle he was driving collided with a multicab in Barangay Campagao in Bilar town.
Jayvie Galagar, a resident of Barangay Poblacion Norte, Batuan town, was declared dead on arrival at the district hospital in Carmen.
The incident happened at around 5:30 p.m.
Galagar was heading towards Batuan town when he rammed from behind a multicab driven by 69-year-old Leonardo Mesiona.
Police Senior Master Sergeant Bryan Idulsa of Bilar Police Station said Galagar tried to overtake Mesiona leading to the collision.
“Paghidangat sa Barangay Campagao, Bilar mi-signal light ug miliko ang multicab tungod kay paingon kini musud kini sa ilang gate apan nakaboylo na ug over-take si Galagar hinungdan sa pagkabangga niini sa multicab,” said Idulsa.
Galagar suffered head injuries during the fall although he wore a helmet, said Idulsa.
