A magnitude 3.6 earthquake jolted off Tagbilaran City on Thursday afternoon, December 31, 2020, state seismologists said.

The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said the quake struck 12 kilometers east of Tagbilaran at 5:20 p.m.

Phivolcs said the quake, which was tectonic in origin, had a depth of 28 kilometers.

The agency said no damage and aftershock were expected.
