Eighteen army trainees tested positive for the coronavirus disease (Covid-19) at Camp Lino I. Chatto in Tubigon town.
In a virtual presser on Thursday afternoon, Dr. Cesar Tomas Lopez said the trainees detected as Covid-19 positive as of Wednesday (October 28) , have been staying in their barracks Camp Lino I. Chatto.
He said early detection was important not only in preventing transmission of the virus, but also in the management of the patients.
Initially, there were only nine trainees who were considered as authorized persons outside residence (APOR) who were infected of Covid-19.
Of the 45 close contacts only 18 got infected. All were asymptomatic.
They were isolated and placed under strict monitoring of the rural health unit of Tubigon.
Bohol has recorded a total of 498 confirmed cases. There were 74 active cases, 414 recoveries and 10 deaths.
