A motorcycle rider was killed and another one was injured in a vehicular accident along the national highway in Corella town early Saturday, October 24.
A report from Corella police said that both motorcyclists — Tirso Patigdas, 46, a resident of Barangay Danajao in Clarin town and Jemar Janya, 21, Barangay Poblacion II in Tagbilaran City — were traveling aboard their separate motorcycles in Barangay Anislag at about 6:20 a.m.
A police report said Patigdas was going towards Tagbilaran, while Janya was going on the opposite direction when the crash happened.
Both riders were thrown off from their motorcycles, landed on the pavement, and sustained body injuries.
Patigdas died on the spot.
Janya was taken to a hospital for treatment.
