A nine-year-old boy accidentally swallowed a P5 coin while playing with his sibling on Wednesday, Aug. 25, in their home at Barangay Bulawan, Guindulman town.
According to the accounts of the boy’s mother, they were playing and fighting over a P5 coin.
The boy placed the coin in his mouth so his sibling could not get it from him.
Unfortunately, he accidentally swallowed the coin in the process.
The boy’s family immediately brought him to the nearby Jagna Hospital and later transferred to Gov. Celestino Gallares Memorial Hospital in Tagbilaran City where he underwent an operation to remove the coin.
His operation was a success and he is now recuperating at the said hospital facility.
